About Chime

Chime is America's largest neobank with over 20 million customers, making it the most popular digital-only bank in the United States. Known for its no-fee banking, early paycheck access, and no minimum balance requirements, Chime generates fully digital PDF monthly statements that include transaction date, merchant name, transaction type, amount, and running balance — formatted for straightforward conversion to Excel or CSV.

Pro tip — How to download your statements

In the Chime app, go to Settings > Documents > Statements to download your monthly PDF. As a digital-native bank, Chime PDFs are clean and structured for accurate automated extraction.

Here's what a Chime PDF statement looks like and what matters for extraction.

Chime is an app-only neobank (banking services provided by partner banks), and its statements are clean, natively digital PDFs with a single chronological transaction list: Date, Description, Amount, and a running Balance. Spending Account and Savings Account activity is documented per account.

Download your Chime statement as PDF

  1. 1 Open the Chime app and sign in.
  2. 2 Tap Settings, then Documents.
  3. 3 Open Statements and select the monthly statement you need.
  4. 4 Save or share the PDF from the app (Chime is app-first; there is no full desktop statement portal equivalent).
  5. 5 Upload the saved PDF to the converter.

Extraction pitfalls to watch

Format quirks to know before converting a Chime statement.

  • Chime is app-only, so statements must be exported from the mobile app rather than a desktop banking portal before they can be converted.
  • Spending Account and Savings Account are documented separately; keep their statements distinct so balances are not mixed.
  • Round-up transfers and other automated savings moves appear as their own line items and should be categorized as internal transfers, not income or expenses.
  • Pending or in-app authorizations are not part of the finalized statement PDF, so the converted file reflects only posted transactions.
